This Japanese motorcycle is more of a touring bike than an off-roader and shares its platform with the Suzuki Range of Gixxer 250 bikes in the country. The V-Strom also borrows the refined engine from the Gixxer 250cc range and combines this with the ergonomics of an adventure motorcycle. Suzuki V-Strom SX comes with an LED headlight and an LCD instrument panel for all the essential readings. This console also receives the Suzuki Connect system for smartphone connectivity and offers features such as turn-by-turn navigation, SMS alert, incoming call alert and WhatsApp alert. The KTM 250 Adventure, however, has a halogen headlight and an LCD dash, but lacks smartphone connectivity.

The Suzuki V-Strom SX comes with a 249cc single-cylinder oil-cooled engine that develops 26hp with 22Nm of peak torque. This powertrain is available with a six-speed gearbox. The KTM 250 Adventure, on the other hand, is powered by a 248cc liquid-cooled engine that develops 29.5hp and 24Nm of peak torque. This engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch and mechanical assistance.
