Bayfield Bus Stop for Bustang Outrider – Colorado Department of Transportation
Bayfield – Bustang Outrider adds Bayfield to its Durango – Grand Junction route, providing another transit option for residents of the Pine River Valley area.
Outrider’s new stop is at the Pine River Library, 395 Bayfield Center Dr. The bus departs Bayfield daily at 6:10 a.m. and arrives in Durango at 6:32 a.m. Round trips depart Durango Transit Center at 7:10 p.m. and arrive at Bayfield. to 7:30 p.m. Fare is $4, with discounts available for ages 65 and older, ages 2 to 11, and those with disabilities. Children under 2 travel free. Passengers paying the driver must use cash and have the exact amount of the fare. Alternatively, tickets can be purchased on the Bustang Outrider app.
“The addition of the Bayfield stop is a great improvement to the Bustang Outrider service. This stop provides a convenient transportation option for commuters traveling to Durango for work, school, or medical appointments. It also provides a safe, convenient and essential regional transit connection for travel from Bayfield to Cortez, Telluride and Grand Junction,” said Amber Blake, Director of the Department of Transportation’s Transit and Rail Division. Colorado. “From Grand Junction, passengers can travel across the state, connecting to the main Bustang service with connections to Glenwood Springs, Vail and Denver.”
Bustang Outrider vehicles are equipped with Wi-Fi, power outlets, restrooms, storage areas and bike racks.
Bustang Outrider is a subsidiary of CDOT’s Bustang service which offers bus routes throughout the state.
